Let's Navigate MODEX 2020 Together!

MODEX 2020 is descending on the Georgia World Congress Center beginning Monday, March 9th to Thursday, March 12th. This is an international event with over 950 exhibits, covering a staggering 370,000 sq. feet. Featured are industry leaders in Materials Handling, Supply Chain, Inventory Management and Information Technology, along with Automation and Emerging Technologies. This event happens just once every two years in Atlanta - this is BIG!

Having built an entire 35-year career dedicated to the Material Handling Industry, I sometimes get flippant when asked, "What do you do for a living?", with the answer being "I sell shelving." Wrong! A more accurate description of my job is as follows: From the moment a product is created, to the moment it arrives in its final form or destination. This is my industry and McGee's area of expertise. Material Handling solutions provide the backbone for all things manufactured, moved, stored, secured, distributed, consumed, and eventually disposed of. No matter what industry you represent, or your tenure, there's always something new to see "in action".

The team at McGee Storage & Handling is happy to assist you in making your experience exceptional. If we can point you in the right direction, or introduce you to our preferred suppliers, we'll meet you there and make the best of your time at the show. Connect with us at 770-458-4346 to discuss your priorities.

There's the MODEX Show, and then there's the City of Atlanta!

Like many of you, Atlanta is our hometown now. If you've been here long enough, you remember the 1996 Olympic Games, you've traveled in and out of Hartsfield Jackson too many times to count, you've been to the Aquarium, World of Coke, Mercedes Benz Stadium (or not), or perhaps you live too far out to frequent the "city life". While you're in town for the exhibit, plan to enjoy an evening at one of the city's hidden gems that most conference-goers wouldn't flock to. Here are a few recommendations– all just a short Uber or Lyft ride from downtown. Journey down a new path!

Ponce City Market - The historic, former Sears distribution building was opened as Ponce City Market in 2014 and since has filled with interesting shops and restaurants, including The City Winery. If weather permits, head to The Rooftop - featuring Skyline Park, Nine Mile Station, and incredible city views from the Terrace.

Krog Street Market - Located in Inman Park, adjacent to the popular Atlanta Beltline. Walk around this open market atmosphere and enjoy boutique shopping, walk-up dining, Hop City (for the craft beer enthusiast) and adjacent restaurants: Superica, Bar Mercado, and more.

The Beltline - Connects Ponce City with Krog Street Market and makes for a wonderful stroll. The walk offers trail art, a skatepark, and an eclectic mix of restaurants, shops, and bars. Stop into New Realm Brewery, Ladybird,TWO urban licks, or just take in a stroll for excellent people-watching.

Virginia Highlands - At the corner of North Highland and Virginia Road sits a fun corner of bars, shops, and restaurants. George's Bar and Restaurant and Moe's & Joe's are two of Atlanta's legendary hangouts featuring inexpensive draft beer, burgers, sandwiches, and such.

Don't Miss Out!

Come to MODEX 2020 to reconnect, or discover for the first time, a dynamic, fast-paced industry. At the same time embrace one of America's best cities and all it has to offer.

We can't wait to see you there!
