Looking to 2023

With 2022 now in the rear view window, what is your mindset entering 2023? Are you anticipating growth? Another year at the status quo? Considering downsizing? All of these are important considerations when managing your goals as a business, evaluating what is best for your team, and addressing your budget and investment strategy.

Perhaps you're considering all of those aspects when thinking about resolutions and expectations for the new year, more often than not, the answer is never as simple as you may think.

Over the past 12 months, McGee Storage & Handling has experienced incredible growth. First, we must thank our loyal and wonderful clients who have entrusted McGee Storage & Handling as their supplier and contractor partner. It is due to our clients' increase in success and growth that demanded more of our products and services that in turn fueled McGee. In a time where inflation and rising costs are affecting everyone, McGee is thankful to remain a partner to many new and existing clients.

One of the trends we are seeing these days is that customers are seeking "that company. One they can partner with where most all of their business's needs fall under their umbrella of product and service offerings.

So, why the scramble for differentiation? Today's shortage of stable, qualified labor has a ripple effect. It continues to affect higher levels, such as management of other positions with a wide range of responsibility. Managers and directors are tasked with a heavier workload than ever before seen, internal resources are spread too thin, and both large-scale projects and day-to-day tasks seem to fall through the cracks. The need to find "that company" continues to grow in order to fill these gaps.

A good question to ask yourself, and your business, at the start of a new year or financial period is, "Do our clients value our products, services and industry knowledge?" This will help keep your goals and attention in the right place. In such a competitive time, it's important to find ways to set your business apart from the rest – become "that company." Find ways to become more than just a supplier of a product or service; get creative and find ways to offer services or perform exceptional work to stand out from the rest.

One of the best goals you can take on for 2023 is to become more valuable to your clients and customers. At McGee we have invested in becoming a Licensed General Contractor. Along with material handling solutions, there are often construction needs arising at the same time. McGee's goal is to make the decision maker's job easier by allowing them to make better use of their time, rather than juggling multiple vendors. To do this, a new team has been formed to work side by side with the account representative who has the established relationship.

If you are looking for construction services alongside your material handling solutions, contact McGee Storage & Handling today to learn how we can help.

McGee Storage & Handling is excited and looking forward to 2023. Our aim is to build deeper relationships that become increasingly consultive and collaborative. We want to continually increase our strategic value to our clients and find ways to make their day-to-day lives easier.

Again, McGee thanks you, our loyal customers, for another fantastic year of success, creating effective material handling solutions, and valued relationships along the way. Let's make 2023 a great year!
